Maintenance of hood-type dishwashers mainly includes daily cleaning, regular inspections, and deep cleaning.
Daily cleaning
Clean up food residues: After each cycle, pull out the bottom rack and wipe the bottom of the dishwasher with a rag to remove any remaining food or dirt. This prevents food residues from accumulating and clogging the filter, affecting the operating efficiency of the dishwasher.
Clean the inside of the door and door handles: Clean the inside of the door and door handles weekly to prevent food residues from accumulating in the door seal and maintain the sealing performance of the dishwasher.
Rinse the filter: Remove and rinse the filter weekly to remove any stuck food residues and ensure smooth water flow.
Clean the spray arm: Remove the spray arm every month and rinse it with clean water or use a small brush to clean the spray hole to ensure that the spray hole of the spray arm is unobstructed.
Regular inspection
Check the spray arm and filter: Regularly check the spray arm and filter for damage or looseness, and replace or repair them if necessary.
Check the seals: Check the seals inside the dishwasher (such as the sealing ring) for damage, cracks or aging, and replace the aged seals in time.
Check the circuit board and water level sensor: Regularly check whether the circuit board and water level sensor are working properly, and contact professionals for repair or replacement if necessary.
Check installation problems: Make sure there are no problems with the installation of the dishwasher, such as tight water pipe connections and correct installation positions, etc.
Deep cleaning
Cleaning with white vinegar: Perform a cleaning cycle every month and clean with white vinegar. Pour white vinegar into the dishwasher and select the hot water circulation mode to remove bacteria and odors.
Use dishwasher-specific detergent: Use dishwasher-specific detergent for deep cleaning every 1-2 months. Follow the instructions and select the strong wash or self-cleaning mode to let the dishwasher clean itself.
